In the United States when civilian people meet a soldier in a supermarket or any other public place, they greet him with the words; thank you for your service. The Algerian people marched every Friday for almost a year in 2019 to show their discontent for the political and financial mafia that was ruling the country and helping itself to the countries financial resources. During these completely peaceful marches the people never stopped chanting the brotherly link between them and their national army. Effectively it was the chief of staff of the Algerian army the deceased Gaid Salah, may he rest in peace, who granted the people’s demands by requesting the president’s resignation and arresting many important figures of the old regime. Many observers expected tanks in the streets of Algeria to protect the political and financial mafia but instead the Algerian Army protected the people against the mafia. Of course a popular uprising of this magnitude had to interest foreign services from the friendly and not so friendly spheres.
The C.I.A started really suffering from a very bad reputation during the 60s and 70s as it was involved in practically all the conflicts that ended with a terrible bloodshed including the assassination of the democratically elected president of Chile Salvador Alliende . Bill Cassey head of the CIA proposed the creation of the NGO NED (National endowment for democracy) .The concept was introduced by President Ronald Reagan during his visit to Great Britain in 1982 and in 1983 NED was created. A non governmental organisation financed by the American congress via USAIDS and other organisations. In 1986 Carl Gershman NED’s president declared. “It would be terrible for democratic groups around the world to be seen as subsidized by the C.I.A. We saw that in the 60’s, and that’s why it has been discontinued. We have not had the capability of doing this, and that’s why the endowment was created.”
NED main function in North Africa and the Middle East is to provide finances and training to individuals and organisations that would infiltrate any people uprising in order to eventually lead it. Dr Bensaada gives a thorough and well documented analysis of NED’s tactics in the Algerian uprising of 2019 in his book ‘’Les tenors autoproclames du Hirak’’. It was the chief of staff of the Algerian popular Army who cut the grass under NED’s disciple’s feet when he insisted on organising general elections to hand the power to a civilian president. NED’s attempts to destabilise Algeria didn’t succeed mainly because of the close link between the Algerian people and their army, this link had to be broken in order to create chaos and destroy this last bastion of anti colonialism, and anti Zionism in north Africa and the Middle East.
Disciples from NED and other so called non governmental organisations linked with terrorist organisations like Rachad and supporters of the old regime to call for a new uprising in Algeria. This unnatural union between people who call themselves democrats and those who call for a caliphate and an Islamic state is aimed at breaking the natural and historic union between the people and their armed forces thus destabilising the country and rendering it vulnerable and less watertight to external intervention from imperialism and Zionism. We are far from the popular uprising of 2019 which succeeded with the support of the armed forces to start a new revolution against corruption at all levels. For this new Algeria to succeed each and ever one of us people of this great nation must have the honesty and courage to look at our reflection in the mirror of truth and make our mea culpa.
A message to all the elements of the national armed forces where ever they are ‘’ Thank you for your service’’.
