Algerian writer Yasmina Khadra’s novel “L’Attentat” is being adapted into a Netflix series by American producer Michael Kupisk.
It was the United States Embassy in Algiers who provided the information, offering their congratulations to Yasmina Khadra on the occasion.
The diplomatic representation indicates that “L’Attentat” has “won numerous critical praise and literary prizes since its publication in 2005”, adding that “this is not the first time that this esteemed Algerian author has attracted the attention of the American public.
She recalls in this regard that “her 2002 book ‘The Swallows of Kabul” was published by the American publisher Doubleday and was voted best book by the San Francisco Chronicle and the Christian Science Monitor. ”

Film synopsis: In a restaurant in Tel Aviv, a woman detonates a bomb that she hides under her maternity dress. In the middle of the night, he is urgently called back to the hospital to tell him that the suicide bomber is his own wife. Refusing to believe this accusation, Amine leaves for Palestine to try to understand.
