Rehahla Soujoud Ritej, an 11-year-old student from Sétif, is now the World Champion in mental arithmetic after having successfully passed all the tests of the 2021 edition of the international arithmetic and mental arithmetic competition which most recently took place online from Taiwan.
The young Rehahla indeed won the competition the day before yesterday against 1,000 competitors from thirty countries. It should be remembered that the student, who took his first steps at the Soroban “Super-Génie” school in Sétif, has already occupied the first place in an international competition which took place in Turkey in 2019. According to the principal of the school, Ms. Fatima Soualili, “for Soujoud, calculations are a great passion which was refined by her mother at home”. It should also be noted that two other Algerians from Relizane appeared in the Top-10 of the competition winners. They are sisters Adala Anfal and Adala Malek, aged 15 and 12 respectively

I did some research online and couldn’t find any article or video about this event. NOTHING AT ALL. The only ones who talked about it are Algerian sources without showing any pictures or videos of the event. I find it very odd!!!!
