ALGIERS – Communication Minister Ammar Belhimer said on Wednesday that the Moroccan-Zionist alliance against Algeria had come up against “an invincible bulwark built by an infused and solid coalition of the people and their institutions”.
“On the strength of the constants of its people and its constitutional institutions, Algeria is the object of a real systematic war which is not only a hostile campaign on the part of several parties, at the head of which the Moroccan alliance. Zionist ”, declared Mr. Belhimer in an interview with the newspaper“ Djalia.dz ”.
“The latter unfortunately came up against an invincible bulwark of resistance by an infused and solid coalition of the people and their institutions, as evidenced by the positions of the Algerians through the platforms of social networks”, he maintained.
“It is normal that the Information sector is at the heart of the operation to resist the dirty cyber war targeting our country, thanks to the public and private media which have devoted an appropriate field to lay bare the lies of the enemies and foil their maneuvers by all objective means, based on historical truths, documents and exact information which reveal the perfidy and disinformation of all those who attack Algeria, its historical and revolutionary symbols and its solidity, the cohesion and synergy between its people and its institutions, foremost among which is the institution of the National People’s Army (ANP), a worthy heir to the National Liberation Army (ALN) ”.
This operation, continues the minister, carried out by the national media of the two sectors is reinforced by “the contribution of the ulema and the Algerian and international specialists known for their intellectual integrity and their scientific competence in various fields”.
As for the consolidation of institutional and electronic media, Mr. Belhimer recalled that this issue was one of the priorities in the program of the President of the Republic, citing the realization so far of several thematic and institutional television channels, at the like “El Maarifa”, “Edhakira”, “Echababiya” and soon “El Barlamania”, while waiting to create an international channel.
The establishment of an international channel meets several objectives, including “the strengthening of ties of belonging to the homeland, through a professional and honest national press which would broadcast programs and information, in various fields, essentially linked to Algeria, a response to the media material currently exposed to defamation and media propaganda by hate channels and stipendées plumitifs ”.
It is also a question of “ensuring to fill the vacuum and the dearth of information which would summarize the ignorance of certain parties about Algeria and to contribute to the promotion of the destination Algeria and its investment assets”.
In response to a question on the usefulness of this channel for the Algerian community abroad, Mr. Belhimer retorted “Algeria is envied for the strong attachment of its community to the homeland, a fact attested elsewhere. during various events, since the Glorious War of Liberation, through the Covid-19 and recently the crime of fires that targeted several forests and following which our community has experienced, as usual, a surge of exemplary solidarity for to be at the side of their brothers inside the country ”.
And to add that “taking into account these considerations and many others, the international channel will contribute to strengthen the bond between the national community established abroad and the motherland and will encourage its contributions to the process of investment and development that the State is working to achieve for the benefit of Algerians wherever they are ”, stressing“ that pending the realization of the International Channel project, EPTV offices will be opened in several capitals of the world, especially where our community is very present, like Paris, for example ”.
With regards to the organic bill on information and the bill on audiovisual to be presented to Parliament, the Minister indicated that “the referral of the two bills to the two chambers of Parliament was carried out on the instruction of the president of the Republic during the last extraordinary council of ministers for further enrichment and debate of these two fundamental texts directly linked to a consensus project between democratic decision and preservation of the national security of the country.
Mr. Belhimer specified that these instructions “confirm the will of the President of the Republic to promote the role of the communication sector and develop the message of the media, in particular the new media, in line with the 2020 Constitution in the area of strengthening. rights and freedoms, respect for private life through various media and support for the role of journalists within the framework of respecting the safeguards linked to professional ethics ”.
