The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MJS) announced on Thursday the return of the public to stadiums and sports halls, upon showing the sanitary pass, for the new sports season 2021-2022.
“As a reminder of the Prime Minister’s decision on 13 September regarding the easing of the sanitary protocol and in the framework of the resumption of sports and youth activities, it has been decided to reopen public and private sports facilities, as well as the resumption of activities and competitions in all disciplines, under condition of the strict respect of the sanitary protocol as recommended by the public authorities to face the spread of the Corona virus pandemic”, indicates a press release from the MJS.
Access to stadiums and sports facilities is open to public on the condition of showing a sanitary pass confirming that the person has been vaccinated,” the MJS press release said.
On 5 September, the MJS had decided to reopen sports facilities and resume competition activities in all disciplines from Monday 6 September 2021.
“In the framework of the resumption of sports activities in view of important sports competitions, including the Mediterranean Games-2022 in Oran, in order to allow the various national teams to prepare in the best conditions for the start of the various national championships,” the MJS underlined in its communiqué.
The press release from the ministry also stressed that “the reopening of sports facilities and the resumption of competitions from 6 September is subject to the submission of the sanitary pass which confirms the vaccination of all managers of these facilities and the total respect of the sanitary protocol as recommended by the public authorities to face the spread of Coronavirus pandemic”
