Houari Boumediene University of Science and Technology ranked first nationally among the 107 Algerian university institutions included in the global “Webometrics” classification, according to a press release issued by the same scientific body on Monday.
The same source indicated that the Houari Boumediene University of Science and Technology claimed the first place nationally among the 107 Algerian university institutions listed in the Webometrics World Ranking in a version issued on January 31, 2022.
The statement indicated that “the emergence of the university in this classification was the result of an integrated plan aimed at advancing the university and making it global through continuous support for scientific research and encouraging researchers to publish scientifically.”
The same source highlighted that this classification revolves around “strict academic indicators related mainly to the quality of scientific research production and the extent of the university institution’s ability to disseminate science and knowledge via Internet.
