Defending champions Algeria eased through Group B at the All Africa Men’s Team Badminton Championship in Kampala.

After 5-0 victories over Réunion and Benin yesterday, Algeria triumphed 4-1 over hosts Uganda to ensure they topped their group.

Brian Kasirye got the host nation off to a flier with a singles victory over Youcef Sabri Medel at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium, but Mohamed Abderrahime Belarbi and Adel Hamek then won their matches against Israel Wanagalya and Friday Attaman respectively.

Algeria also clinched both doubles matches, with Koceila Mammeri and Medel beating Kasirye and Wanagalya, followed by Belarbi and Hamek who saw off Attaman and Paul Makande.

Réunion’s 4-1 victory over Benin ensured they finished second, with Uganda consigned to third place.

The 2020 runners-up Mauritius topped Group A without dropping a match, following up yesterday’s 5-0 rout of Zimbabwe by repeating the feat against Zambia.

Zambia had themselves thrashed Zimbabwe 5-0 earlier in the day to secure second place.

In a clash between the 2020 bronze medallists in Group C, Egypt overcame South Africa 4-1 to finish top, with their opponents’ 5-0 victory over Cameroon earlier in the day enough to place second.

The Women’s Team Championship holders Egypt took control of Group B with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Uganda, with Nour Ahmed Youssri winning her singles and doubles match.

Algeria, silver medallists two years ago, recovered from yesterday’s surprise defeat against the host nation with a 5-0 triumph over Zimbabwe.

Egypt and Algeria occupy the top two places in the group, with the pair set to meet tomorrow.

Uganda are set to face Zimbabwe and will be hoping to leapfrog Algeria into second.

In Group A, the 2020 bronze medallists Mauritius began their campaign with a comfortable 4-1 win against Réunion.

The group stage in the Women’s Championship is set to conclude on the penultimate day of competition tomorrow.

Who We Are

Hope JZR, founder of the site and also owner of the eponymous YouTube channel, has gathered around his project a team of volunteers from the national territory and the diaspora with profiles as diverse as they are varied, a circle of patriots that only holds, to you and your enthusiasm to expand. Indeed, we invite you, all compatriots with a positive and constructive mindset to join us, through your contributions, in this adventure of defense and construction of a new Algeria.

What We Do

We work continuously and scrupulously to provide the public with reliable, objective and eminently positive information. Faithful to the founder’s credo of “sowing hope”, our ambition is to create an enthusiastic dynamic (without pouring into euphoria), federating competencies in the service of their homeland. Our publications, as you will notice, will always highlight positive performances and achievements in different fields, and also reflect our critics whenever we see problems affecting the lives of our fellow citizens, providing adequate solutions or calling for our elites to help solve them.

Our Mission

Our unique goal is to make this platform the first in Algeria to be devoted exclusively to positive information that sows hope among our youth and entice them to participate in the development of our country. The building of this new Algeria of which we dream and to which we aspire will be a collective work of all citizens jealous of the greatness of their nation and its influence. It will be the guarantor of the preservation of its independence and sovereignty and will honor the legacy and sacrifice of our valiant Chouhadas.
