The Algerian Mercedes Benz Vehicle Manufacturing Company delivered today, Tuesday, 665 vehicles to the benefit of several public and private institutions and bodies.
In a speech delivered on the occasion, Colonel Messaoud Faycal, Assistant Director-General of the Vehicle Manufacturing Development Company at the Ministry of National Defense, highlighted that this quota of Mercedes-Benz vehicles of different models and various missions includes 123 four-wheel drive vehicles and 542 utility vehicles which were handed over to several departments under the aegis of the Ministry of National Defense and to various public bodies, including the General Directorate of National Security, the General Directorate of Prison Administration, the General Directorate of Forests, Sonatrach, provincial directorates such as the health directorate, as well as to private bodies.
He pointed out that “this event comes to reflect once again the strong will and affirms the foresight of the Supreme Command of the National People’s Army in light of the strategy of developing a military industry with international standards and a quality product that constitutes an effective support to various sectors.”
Colonel Messaoud Faycal affirmed that “this periodically renewed occasion comes as an appreciation and gratitude from our company to its customers and as an interest in strengthening and building lasting and distinguished partnership relations.”
For his part, the representative of the Central Directorate of Equipment of the Ministry of National Defense, Colonel Chiboub Mohamed Tarek, stressed that, in implementation of the instructions of the Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army providing for the achievement of a pre-planned program with the Algerian Vehicle Manufacturing Company with the brand Mercedes-Benz in Tiaret, like the operations previously carried out, the Central Directorate of Equipment, representing the Ministry of National Defense received , on this occasion, , a quota of 145 multi-tasking vehicles.
