ALGIERS – The Algiers Opera Boualem-Bessaih revealed, Wednesday in Algiers, its artistic program for the holy month of Ramadhan, with 17 varied shows on the menu, between theater, songs and music of different genres of the Algerian terroir, the organizers announced in a press briefing.
Opening its doors to the public from April 7 to 30 during the month of Ramadhan with an irregular frequency programming, the Algiers Opera will begin its artistic evenings in laughter and relaxation, with the duo Mustapha Himoune and Kamel Bouakaz in the register of the 4th Art which also includes two solo performances by the actors, Mohamed Khassani and Nesrine Belhadj.
As for musical varieties, the public will have to appreciate the richness of the Algerian heritage, between classical, popular and traditional, through several shows in different genres, led by beautiful headliners, such as the concerts of Andalusian classical music, duo or solo of, “Karim Boughazi and Meryem Benallal”, of “Samir Toumi and Lamia Ait Amara”, or the highly anticipated, Abbes Righi.
At the same time, the organizers have also planned concerts of, popular Chaabi music, hosted by the great Abdelkader Chaou and Faïz Ghmati, of Algerian and Chaouie varieties with the show entitled, “Dzaïr, Rihla fi zaman” and the duo concert of, Hassiba Abderraouf and Salim Chaoui.

For its part, traditional singing will be represented by several thematic shows, such as Zineddine Bouchaâla for the Hadra evening, Hassiba Amrouche for the Kabyle song, Hasna El Becharia for the diwan and the El Ferda troupe for the Melhoun.
In a highly anticipated appointment, fans of the Algerian singer of Kabyle expression, Lounis Ait Menguellet will meet their idol on April 18, while the groups “Djam” and “Babylon” will host two evenings dedicated to a young audience.
The theater and music shows scheduled at the Algiers Boualem-Bessaih Opera House during the holy month of Ramadhan will start at 21:30 and will take place in compliance with health prevention measures, the organizers concluded.
