- ALGIERS- Many cultural establishments under the Ministry of Culture and the Arts offer, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, a rich and varied cultural and artistic program, including theatrical plays, artistic evenings and intellectual encounters .
In this regard, the National Office of Culture and Information (ONCI) has programmed through its various spaces nationwide a range of cultural and artistic events. For the Atlas hall in Algiers, evenings will be hosted, as of April 6th, by brilliant artists, including, among others, Abderrahmane El Kobbi, Nassim Youssef, Mohamed Chetouane, Nacer Eddine Galiz, Didine Karoum, Mehdi Tamache, Sid Ali Lakkam and Nassim Bey.
At the Tipaza performance hall, evenings will be hosted by the artists Mourad Djaferi, Narjes, Mohamed Haouati, Hassiba Abderraouf, Goussem, a concert by the El-Bachtarzia association and a poetic recital by Kamel Cherchar.
In Boumerdès, the Issers performance hall will host an evening with Fodil Assoul, while in Oran, the Maghreb hall announces artistic evenings in the company of Meryem Benallal, Zaki Benmerah, Karim Boughazi, Lamia Ait Amara, the association El -Faqirat and the Ibn Badja association of Mostaganem.
8 May 45 hall at Kherrata in Bejaïa will enjoy musical evenings enlivened by Balloul Mouloud, Mebarakia Abdel Nabi, Meznad Zouhir. Theatrical play “Bantoura Spéciale” (Special Painting) staged by the Tavitka Cultural Cooperative will also be presented at the same hall.
The Ahmed Bey hall in Constantine organizes evenings hosted by Aslane Fergani, Djamil Bey, Salim Fergani, Djabassi Chemseddine, as well as two plays called “Hna Kheir” by Mourad Sawli and “Al-Assas” by Saber Ayachi.
In Algiers, the Palace of Culture Moufdi Zakaria is organizing, from today, Tuesday, the Forum of Islamic Thought, and Ramadan evenings under the theme “Dialogue and coexistence”, during which a group of specialists will come to express themselves on the theme.
The Moufdi Zakaria cultural space also plans a range of artistic and cultural activities, starting with a craft exhibition in which 30 exhibitors from different parts of the country will take part, an exhibition of Arabic calligraphy and miniatures to be held by the Algerian Club of Arabic calligraphy and miniatures, in addition to a theatrical piece entitled “Tchipa Bank”, performed by the Port Said theatrical association.
Artistic evenings will be hosted by the Chaâbi artist Nacer Merzoug and those of Maalouf, namely; Mubarak Dakhla, Mohamed Rouane and his musical troupe, and Noureddine Saoudi.
On the occasion of this sacred month, the Algerian National Theater “Mahieddine Bachtarzi” has programmed several theatrical works, including “Basta” by Ibrahim Chergui, “Musée des fous” or ” Museum of Fools” directed by Youssef Taouinet, the monodrama ” Koumicha” by Toufik Mezghache, and “Al Tofane” by Abdelghani Chentouf, as well as artistic evenings which will be hosted by the Andalusian singer Leila Borsali and an artistic show by Salim Dada and his musical group.
In addition, the Office Riadh El Fath has scheduled from April 7 to May 1, 2022 various musical and entertainment shows in its spaces in Algiers. Thus, the public will enjoy various musical performances and music of Chaâbi, animated by several singers, like Abdelkader Chaou, the group “Tikoubaouine”, Samir El-Assimi, Sami Zeriab and Lamine Saadi.
The hall “Ibn Zeydoun” will host Jazz evenings which will be organized by the Algerian Agency for Cultural Outreach (AARC), on the occasion of World Jazz Day which coincides with April 30 of each year.
The organizers have also drawn up a special children’s program that includes clown shows, educational games and songs in the “Petit Théâtre” hall , in addition to shows related to plastic arts and crafts, as well as film screenings, in addition to a conference on the life of Abdelhamid Ben Badis on the occasion of Knowledge Day.
For its part, the Algiers Opera will organize, as of April 7th, 17 artistic concerts, with comic performances by Mustapha Himoun, Kamel Bouakaz and Mohamed Khassani, as well as musical events hosted by Lounis Ait Menguellet, Abdelkader Chaou , Abbas Righi, Zinedine Bouchaala and the musical group “El Farda”.
