Algeria was unanimously elected as a member of the Administrative Committee of the International Grains Council on the occasion of the organization’s 56th session held last Monday in London.
This committee, which includes 16 member countries between importers and exporters equally and is the most important body of this organization, meets twice a year between regular sessions of the Council to discuss administrative and financial issues and formulate recommendations to the Council.
Algeria was elected to the category of importing countries along with Egypt, Cuba, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Switzerland.
