In a joint press conference with the US ambassador to Algeria, Elizabeth Moore Aubin, organized on the sidelines of the 53rd edition of the Algiers International Fair, the minister said that on Wednesday, several agreements were concluded between Algerian dealers and their American counterparts, which will be implemented in the field. In the cultivation, fertilization, harvesting and storage of grain and the manufacture of animal feed, the project aims to reduce imports of grain and feed products.
A partnership was also signed between the Algerian “Suakri” complex and the global health services network “GSN” of America, to implement a health project in the key (Blida) consisting of a hospital and a paramedical school, where this project will save Algeria, the costs of transfers. medical abroad.
A partnership agreement was also signed between the Algerian limited liability company “Sycamd” and the American company “Canopis” to set up a project using UVC-LED technology to purify water with ultraviolet rays and for health care at the level of residential and commercial facilities.
On the other hand, a partnership agreement was signed between the Algerian company “Iris Industrial” and an American company to establish a joint venture to establish an Algerian-American company “MC. Hull Iris Energy” in the field of solar energy, hybrid energy solutions, testing and consulting.
In this regard, Mr. Rezik stressed that “all kinds of investments are welcome in Algeria, but there is a priority in investments that has been identified, especially with regard to investments that will create jobs and achieve food security for the country.”
In response to a question regarding the establishment of a direct air line between Algeria and New York, Rezik said, “The decision was taken by the President of the Republic to implement it before the end of the current year,” noting that the Algerian authorities and the authorities of the United States of America are currently working to implement this decision. For her part, the ambassador of the United States of America in Algeria confirmed that her country was “fully” informed of the priorities set by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, noting that “work was done during the exhibition to attract companies active in the agricultural field, agricultural equipment and grains.”
