ORAN- The president of the Commission for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 19th edition of JM Oran 2022, musicologist Salim Dada, assured on Tuesday that the ceremony scheduled for next Saturday will be “a complete artistic work using modern techniques “.
Hosting a press conference, Salim Dada indicated that “the opening ceremony of the World Youth Day will be a great ceremony that Algeria will experience for the first time since the recovery of national independence. It will be a complete artistic work with all the expressive elements both in terms of the script, the choreography, the staging and the scenography with the use of cutting-edge techniques”.
The ceremony will be performed by a symphony orchestra made up of around a hundred musicians. It will include ensemble artistic movements over an area of 9,000 square meters and 500 drones will be used for this purpose, in addition to a sound and light show and pyrotechnic games.
The artistic presentation of the opening ceremony includes 20 paintings with the participation of 800 people, including artists, dancers, image and lighting technicians added Salim Dada, also artistic director of the ceremony and scriptwriter a spectacle.
The scenario will highlight the many facets of Algerian culture in general, that of the western region and the city of Oran, the impact of Algerian culture in the Mediterranean basin as well as the contribution of Algerian personalities to human civilization. at the level of the Mediterranean, said Salim Dada, while noting the participation of great Algerian artistic figures.
Regarding the cultural and artistic activities planned in parallel with the JM Oran2022, the president of the Commission for the opening and closing ceremonies of the JM gave, during this press conference, a complete overview of the cultural agenda which includes several theatrical events , plastic arts, literature, singing, dances, cinema as well as exhibitions of crafts and others.
