ORAN (Algeria)- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune emphasized Thursday, in Oran, the need to remove the bureaucratic barriers to investment.
President Tebboune, who made the statement while inaugurating the five-star hotel “AZ Grand Oran” in Es-Senia, told the owner that he could directly contact the wali (the province’s governor) if he encounters bureaucratic obstacles to take the appropriate measures.
“Such practices should come to a permanent end and I won’t forgive anyone.”
“An Algerian investing in a five-star hotel in the country, not necessarily in Algiers, and with his own money, without asking any loans from the State, must be treated with respect,” the president stressed.
President Tebboune recalled that “there are people who took money from the State and invested it abroad.”
The president of the Republic urged economic operators to invest in the country’s south, insisting on training in hotel services in Algerian specialized establishments.
