The National Public Museum of Setif, which was established in 1985 and became national in 1992, contributes to the revitalization of the tourism movement in the region, introducing its heritage abroad, and opening the way for researchers and specialists in archaeology as well as students to research the history of the state.
This institution has an important and rare balance of antiquities and antiques, most notably the collection of the Ain Boucherit site, which is the second oldest human presence in the world, as well as groups of Roman pottery and mosaics, as well as Islamic pottery, which dates back mainly to the two periods.
Fatimid and Hammadideh, in addition to a large group of ancient coins on the model of Roman, Hafsid and Ottoman, according to the director.
