The British School Algiers provides a British education for 4 to 18-year olds with Years 1 to 11 now open in Chéraga, Algiers.
The School follows the British curriculum with British teaching and assessment methods. The language of instruction is English except for Arabic and French lessons. The teachers are British and Algerian.
Students will sit for Cambridge exams which are recognised worldwide.
IGCSEs will be taken at the end of Year 11 when students are aged16.
A levels will be taken at the end of Year 13 when students are aged18.
Algerian students will be supported in their studies for the BEM and Algerian Baccalaureate. This includes the teaching of Algerian History and Geography. Algerian heritage and culture will be respected at all times.
If the demand for places exceeds the number of places available, places will be offered in accordance with the priorities set out in the Admissions Policy. Within an admission category, priority will be given to children who have a sibling already attending the school and then places will be offered in the order that reservations are made.
