The Prime Minister, Mr. Aïmene Benabderrahmane met, on Wednesday in Washington, with the American Secretary of Commerce, Mrs. Gina Raimondo, on the sidelines of her participation in the United States/Africa Summit, as representative of the President of the Republic. , Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
During this meeting held during the work of the Afro-American Business Forum, the two parties affirmed the common will of the two countries to strengthen the economic content of bilateral relations with a view to raising them to the level of political relations between the Algeria and the United States.
In this wake, the Prime Minister reviewed the reforms implemented in Algeria, following the orientations of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune for the improvement of the investment and business climate in the country, having enabled Algeria to establish itself as an investment destination par excellence.
The two parties discussed the enormous investment opportunities offered on the Algerian market thanks to the priorities defined by the Government in its Action Plan for the implementation of the program of the President of the Republic, in particular in the sectors of the agriculture, basic infrastructure, energy and renewable energies as well as ICT.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Raimondo expressed the “great interest” expressed by American operators to invest in Algeria.
The two parties highlighted their common efforts to support investors and intensify contacts between businessmen of the two countries.
In this context, the two parties have agreed to prepare a visit to Algeria by the American Secretary of Commerce at the head of a large delegation of businessmen, scheduled for the first quarter of next year.
