Four experimental technological platforms dedicated to photovoltaic solar energy, thermodynamic solar energy, renewable hydrogen and finally to the application of solar energy in Saharan agriculture: this is the content of the Technopol Renewable Energies project, launched a few days ago in Ghardaia , in the north of the country, 500 kilometers south of the capital Algiers.
“The Commission for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (Cerefe) is delighted by the launch of the Technopol project in Ghardaïa, to which it will provide its support”, specified the body in a statement published on its Facebook page.
Called Manar, the project will be carried out by the Applied Research Unit in Renewable Energy of the High School for Sciences and Technologies (Epst) and by the Renewable Energy Development Center (Cder), with the support and supervision of the General Management of Scientific Research and Technological Development (Dgrsdt), added the statement.
Created a year ago and directly linked to the Prime Minister’s cabinet, Cerefe recently published a roadmap aimed at achieving the country’s energy transition, through sustainable and cost-effective ways.
