Sudan Crisis: Who’s Pulling the Strings? And For What Purposes?

Since Saturday, April 15, 2023, a coup d’etat has been underway in Sudan and has resulted in bloody fighting between the army, led by General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhane, and the powerful Rapid Support Force (FSR), which is a paramilitary organization of more than 100,000 men, of General Mohamed Hamdane Daglo, alias Hemedti.

Beyond the apparent competition between two generals who are fighting to lead Sudan (see the version of the mainstream media) behind this new civil war hides, lurking in the shade like a snake, the destructive maneuvers of the Anglo-Saxons and their cronies!

Indeed, we are witnessing live a new episode of the globalized hybrid war between Russia and China against the West and whose playground, once again, the African continent which, as everyone knows, is a high strategic, economic and military place.

The Sudanese problem is complex from a geostrategic point of view. This is why it is useful and necessary to revisit history: the past sheds light on the present and the present is only an unknown future.

We recall that war has been present in Sudan since 1959. Sudan was one of the seven countries (with Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Iran, Algeria: the 7 have in common , their support for the Palestinian cause) mentioned by General Wesley Clark in his famous testimony. Seven countries that American neo-conservatives planned to attack following the “attacks” of September 11, 2001. Therefore, South Sudan embarked on a US-sponsored war of independence at the expense of Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. During this war, the USA organized a referendum like the one organized by Vladimir Putin in Ukraine in September 2022. The country was cut in two in 2011 (same for Libya and Yemen) in the spirit of the YINON plan.

It should be noted that South Sudan is very rich in oil: there is no coincidence or so dubious coincidences!

Once Sudan recognized the independence of South Sudan, the four secessionist factions of the South have been at war, in turn, for years and the ceasefire has recently taken place. This was the scenario written by the United States with the Israelis, also, involved and who saw a good eye on a champion of the Palestinian cause thus dismembered!!!!

During the Covid-19 crisis (we prefer to say rather scam-19), the Russian president negotiated with Sudan the construction of a military naval base in PORT-SUDAN in the Red Sea like that of TARTOUS in Syria and which is a direct access to the Mediterranean for the Russian fleet. Alongside this rapprochement between Moscow and Khartoum, an article by William Engdahl in the New Eastern Outlook mentioned the presence of CENTCOM (United States Central Command literally “Central Command of the United States”) in the Horn of Africa and which, already , questioned some insiders in geostrategy. The USA has always considered this rapprochement as unacceptable!

Since the end of the civil war, Sudan has been in a transition phase for more than two years, since the situation was in the process of “normalization” via a Sovereignty Council led by the two generals who are facing each other today:

Abdel Fattah Al-Burhane who is at the head of this council and its vice-president and n°2, General Mohamed Hamdane Daglo, alias Hemedti, head of the Rapid Support Forces (FSR). The RSF were to either integrate into the ranks of the regular army or be disbanded as part of the transition to a civilian, non-military management system.

On February 13, 2023 the Sudanese government, therefore with its two generals who oppose today, concluded an agreement with Moscow to build a Russian naval base in Port-Sudan and which is the large Sudanese port on the Red Sea, in southern outlet of the Suez Canal. However, the Suez Canal is a strategic place of very high importance: we know, oh how much! For the Anglo-Saxons, the Suez Canal is their “preserve” or their “reserved domain”: the crisis of 1956 with the nationalization of the canal by Rais Gamal Abdel Nasser almost led to a 3rd World War.

In the light of these developments, we see that the ongoing clashes go far beyond the framework of Sudan and that, ultimately, this coup d’etat is anything but a surprise except for the “self-proclaimed experts on TV sets” or the ” journalists from the prefecture”!!
