The national airline, Air Algérie, and the Mauritanian airline, Mauritania Airlines International, have recently signed a memorandum of understanding that will see the two North African airlines work together in the future.
The agreement covers flight crew training, aircraft maintenance and a commercial partnership. Mauritania Airlines planes will be serviced at Air Algérie’s maintenance center in the future, and Mauritanian pilots will also be trained in Algeria in the future.
The agreement was signed by Yacine Benslimane, CEO of Air Algérie, and Mohamed Ould Biyah, Managing Director of Mauritania Airlines.
