The First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah said Thursday in Algiers, “the convergence of views” between the leaders of his country and Algeria, highlighting the “solid” and “strategic” relations linking the two countries which will celebrate their 60 years of existence.
In a statement after the audience granted to him by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah said he had delivered a message from the Emir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to President Tebboune, concerning the “solid” and “deep” bilateral relations that will celebrate, next year, their sixty (60) years of existence.
Stressing “the convergence of views between the leaders of the two countries”, the head of Kuwaiti diplomacy said that the sixtieth anniversary of Algerian-Kuwaiti relations will be devoted to the development of an action plan based on a timetable “for the development of these bilateral relations in all areas and on all levels.
On this occasion, Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah presented the condolences of his country following the death of the former President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika and the former Head of State, Abdelkader Bensalah as well as for the victims of the forest fires that have struck the country recently, reiterating “the position of solidarity of Kuwait.
At the international level, discussions focused on regional and international challenges facing the Arab region, he continued, highlighting “the concordance” of the positions of Algeria and Kuwait on the necessary implementation of international law and the achievement of UN objectives.
Referring to the presidency of his country of the Council of the Arab League at the ministerial level in the next six months, the Kuwaiti official expressed his thanks to Algeria for its support to Kuwait at the head of this Arab body and all the programs it will present in this sense, and express his wishes for “peace, security, prosperity and progress to the people, government and leaders of Algeria.
The audience took place, we recall, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, and the Director of Cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic, Abdelaziz Khellaf.
