ALGIERS-Lieutenant General, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), Saïd Chanegriha, received Friday, at the headquarters of the ANP General Staff, the Director of the Federal Service for military and technical cooperation of the Russian Federation, Dimitrii Shugaev, said a statement from the Ministry of National Defense.
“Lieutenant General, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), Saïd Chanegriha, received, Friday morning, March 25, 2022, at the headquarters of the Army General Staff National People’s Army, Mr. Dimitrii Shugaev, Director of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation, in the presence of General Officers of the General Staff of the People’s National Army and the Ministry of National Defense, Mr. Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Algeria as well as the members of the Russian delegation”, specified the same source.
“This meeting comes at the end of the visit of the Russian delegation to Algeria from March 23 to 25, 2022, to take part in the works of the ordinary meeting of the Algerian-Russian Intergovernmental Committee, which was held yesterday (Thursday) 24 March 2022 at the National Circle of the Army in the 1st Military Region”, noted the press release.
During this meeting, the two parties held discussions on “the state of military cooperation between the two countries and exchanged analyzes and points of view on issues of common interest”, pointed out the same source.
At the end, the two parties exchanged symbolic gifts.
