Last September, this culinary travel guide ranked rechta in the top 10 best noodle dishes worldwide, in 7th position. With a rating of 4.6 out of 5, the rechta was the only non-Asian dish to have managed to impose itself in this international ranking.
During the same month, it was the Algerian chakchouka which imposed itself in the world top 15 of the best stew dishes. With a score of 4.6 out of 5, this typical Algerian traditional dish is in 14th place in the Taste Atlas ranking.
