In an effort to stimulate economic growth and improve consumer services, the Algerian government is actively promoting investment in the construction of large commercial spaces. This initiative was announced by the Algerian Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, during the inauguration of the (AZ) commercial center in Oran’s Flawssen district.
Gearing Up for Economic Growth
This move comes as part of the government’s strategy to enhance both national and foreign investment in such projects. The (AZ) commercial space, which was opened today, is seen as a crucial tool for refining commercial practices and augmenting services offered by traders, ultimately benefiting the citizens.
Boosting Quality and Accessibility
Zitouni emphasized that the augmentation of these large commercial spaces throughout the country would lead to the availability of quality goods and products at reasonable prices. This is due to the fact that these spaces facilitate direct transactions with producers, thus reducing the involvement of middlemen who often buy low and sell high, creating price disparities.
Attracting International Interest
In addition to national investment, the initiative has attracted the attention of foreign investors from European countries, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. These investors, possessing substantial expertise and experience in building and managing large commercial spaces, are looking to bring successful practices to Algeria. This marks a significant step towards improving the commercial sector in Algeria, instilling better business practices, and offering superior services to the public.
