Austrian Ambassador Christine Moser affirmed on Sunday, her country’s determination to strengthen cooperation with Algeria in the field of trade and cultural exchange.
In a statement to the press after being received by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to whom she handed in her credentials as ambassador of her country to Algiers, Ms. Moser said that the meeting was “fruitful”, adding that the President of the Republic evoked the “old and solid” relations that unite the two countries, which date back to era of the liberation revolution, noting that “it was agreed to give a new impetus and consolidate these relations in the field of trade and cultural exchange.”
She expressed her “happiness to hear from the President of the Republic, who spoke about Austria as a very appreciated European country in Algeria.”
The Austrian ambassador to Algiers concluded by saying: “I think that as a member country of the European Union, it is very important that we perceive Algeria’s interest in cooperating with us and with the European Union.”
