The coach of the national football team, Djamel Belmadi, expressed his great happiness about the return of fans to support the national team on the occasion of the match against Burkina Faso, scheduled for Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida, as part of the sixth and final round of the first group qualifiers for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Belmadi said, during the press conference he held this morning at the National Technical Center in Sidi Moussa (Algiers) devoted to the preparations of the “greens” for their match against Djibouti next Friday in Cairo (Egypt) as part of the fifth round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers-: “Of course … the return of our fans to the stands to support us in the decisive match that will oppose us to the Burkina Faso national team, made me very happy (…) We have always expressed our desire for this, and I seize the opportunity, to express my thanks to the public authorities and to everyone who contributed to fulfilling this demand.
In a related context, the national coach expressed his hope that things will go well during the decisive match with Burkina Faso. He called, on the occasion, on the fans who will be present in Mustapha Tchaker stands, “to show the necessary discipline by respecting the teams we play with (…) things must go well,” adding, “We have been greatly pained by the absence of the fans from the stadiums due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Fans are more than just a support factor, but they are much more important than that.
In line with the decisions of the public authorities and, in particular, the instructions of the Prime Minister to reopen stadiums and allow the public to attend sports competitions, and in response to the request of the Algerian Football Federation after the agreement of the Algerian health authorities, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) agreed to allow 14,000 spectators to attend the Algeria-Burkina Faso match.
In the coming days, it will inform the general public of the necessary procedures to obtain tickets to enter the stadium, within the framework of a system that is compatible with the requirements of the Health Authority.”
