Digitization projects: handing out prizes to the winners of the “digimact Hackathon” competition in Oran
The award ceremony was held on Sunday in Oran for the winners of the three best projects in the “Digimact Hackathon” competition on the sidelines of the launch of the first edition of the Mediterranean digitization fair “digimact” in the presence of Minister of Digitization and Statistics Hocine Cherhabil and Minister of Post and Telecommunications Karim Bibi-Triki.
The two ministers, accompanied by Oran governor Saïd Saayoud, oversaw the award ceremony for the winners as well as the inauguration of the fair, which opened its doors to visitors on Saturday.
The “Digimact Challenge” competition was held online from 27 to 29 January 2022 and centered on three innovative and community-impact topics: tourism (discover Oran), health (manage health) and mobility (navigate in Oran), according to the organizations.
The first prize was awarded to the team “mas” of Oussama Seddiki and Mohammed Anis Lounis in the challenge “Mobility in Oran” for the project “Mob Oran”, while the second prize was awarded for the challenge of Health (Health Management) to the team “Medi-tech” of Mabrouk Bennaoui, Younes Amari and Ayman Benchahra participating with the project “save me”.
The third prize in the “Discover Oran” category was won by the Selec team of Benhadj Djelloul Oussama, Sadadou Mohammed, Hamoudi Youba and Razk Assem with the “project” challenge.
Minister of Digitization and Statistics Hocine Cherhabil highlighted the theme chosen for this first edition of the salon “Digimact” about regional marketing, especially that the state of Oran will host the Mediterranean Games in a few months, stressing that this sport event will have a certain impact both economically and culturally.
For his part, Minister of Post and Telecommunications Karim Bibi treki said that the facilities in terms of information and communication technologies are an important link in the successful organization of major events, such as the Mediterranean Games, stressing that his ministerial department has developed an action plan that has been implemented by a large percentage to ensure a high-quality service that meets international standard
