An Algerian team ranked first out of 40 countries participating in the International Robotics Competition “First Global Roboco Challenge,” the Embassy of the United States of America in Algeria announced Monday.

An Algerian team, composed of Tarek, Nouha and their mentor Abdelmalek won the First Global Roboco Challenge, an Olympics-style, international robotics competition with teams from 40 countries, said a statement from the embassy.
The team achieved 15,031 points during this competition, is receiving training at the non-profit organization World Learning Algeria with funding from American aerospace company The Boeing Company and material sciences company Dow.
