- In two of your most popular books you layed down what we could consider a significant background of the history of palestine, one is the ‘’The Idea of Israel: A History of Power and Knowledge’’ where you debunk the ‘’way Zionism operates’’ and the second book is ‘’The Forgotten Palestinians: A History of the Palestinians in Israel’’ where you analyzes the Israeli state’s policy towards ‘’its Palestinian citizens’’. We would really appreciate summarizing to our audience those two important perspectives ‘’The Idea of Israel’’ and ‘’The history of Palestinians in Israel’’ in the Palestine issue.
- In other two even more popular books you have explained :
The reasons for the failure of Oslo and the two-state solution, In the book ‘’A History of Modern Palestine: One Land, Two Peoples’’ , and
The annexation and occupation of Gaza and the West Bank in the book ‘’The Biggest Prison on Earth: A History of the Occupied Territories’’,
In your opinion how things have evolved from a hope of one land two people to the biggest opensky prison on earth, and what caused this failure, is it the intrinsic impossibility for a one land two people solution or the ideology of the opponent to such solution.
- In 2017, on the fiftieth anniversary of the Occupation, you published a groundbreaking book, ‘’The 10 myths of Israel’’, what are these 10 myths, and why did you write this book?
- Last month I popped on a news article about one of your most popular books ‘’The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine’’ Informing that the French publisher of the book has stopped printing it despite a surge in sales.
According to the article the french publishing house Fayard claimed the contract for the title “has expired since 27 February 2022” and that it had not been printing the title since 3 November, however the withdrawal of book also coincided, with the effective takeover of the Hachette publishing group, to which Fayard belongs, by the far-right billionaire Vincent Bolloré.
In the book you unveil, why one such crime has been erased from the global public memory:
- You wrote this book in 2006, with recent events, how was is this so obvious to you back then
- Is the recent stoppage from printing an example of how this crime/cleansing is being erased from public memory?
- does this attempt to erase a such horrible and shameful act has a chance to succeed in light of recent devellopements
