AC Milan Algerian midfielder Ismael Bennacer has expressed his determination to return stronger after undergoing knee surgery.
The 25-year-old sustained a serious injury during his team’s 2-0 loss to Inter Milan in a recent Champions League game and had his operation on Tuesday.
The Serie A club announced that Bennacer will be out of action for around six months.
In a post on his Twitter account, Bennacer stated that he is ready to face the challenges of a long and difficult recovery period with courage and determination.
He pledged to work hard every day to come back stronger and represent his club and country once again.
Bennacer joined AC Milan from Empoli in 2019 and has scored three goals in 40 appearances across all competitions this season.
