Women, in Algeria, occupy an increasingly important position in the entrepreneurial sector and account for almost half of the owners of startup. This was stated by the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, Yacine Mehdi Oualid.
According to Oualid, the data illustrates the emergence of new opportunities also from the point of view of gender equality, in a sector, such as that of startups, in full development. The minister also underlined the significant role of Algérie Venture, a state body linked to the Ministry of Economy, set up to promote entrepreneurial culture and to raise public awareness of its importance for the country.
