The President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, expressed his great admiration for the archaeological site of Hibon, in Annaba (northeastern Algeria), as part of a cultural and tourist visit he paid today, Sunday, to this city.

The guest of Algeria, who was accompanied by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra, the Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab and the Minister of Culture and Arts, Wafaa Chaalal, followed with great interest the presentation on the contents of the museum located in this archaeological site, as part of the program of the second day of his state visit to Algeria at the head of an important Italian delegation.

One of the most important things that impressed the Italian President was the various mosaic pieces, as he asked the guide to provide additional information about the nature of the materials used in making them, especially the quality of the marble and the bright colors they have.

Standing in front of a bronze memorial design dating back to the first century BC, commemorating the victory of the Roman Consul Julius Caesar over his opponents from the supporters of the Consul Pompey in the year 46 BC, the Italian President showed special interest in this artifact, especially after he learned that it is unique in the world.

The guest of Algeria also expressed his admiration for the general landscape of the ancient city of Hibon, especially after learning that it occupies more than 70 hectares, knowing that discoveries and excavations have so far only covered 26 hectares of the total area.

Our Mission

Our unique goal is to make this platform the first in Algeria to be devoted exclusively to positive information that sows hope among our youth and entice them to participate in the development of our country. The building of this new Algeria of which we dream and to which we aspire will be a collective work of all citizens jealous of the greatness of their nation and its influence. It will be the guarantor of the preservation of its independence and sovereignty and will honor the legacy and sacrifice of our valiant Chouhadas.
