The Algerian Ministry of National Defense announced, yesterday, the official launch of the joint Algerian-Russian naval maneuvers. A detachment of Russian Navy warships, consisting of the frigate “Admiral Grigorievich”, the cruiser “Dmitriy Rogchav” and the rescue tug “SP742” at sea, docked yesterday in the port of Algiers, as part of the plan to embody the bilateral Algerian-Russian military cooperation for the year 2021.
And the Algerian Ministry of Defense revealed, on its page on the social networking site “Facebook”, that this detachment will carry out an exercise entitled “Joint Maritime Maneuver 2021” with floating units of the Algerian naval forces until November 20, 2021, including tactical maneuvers and exercises to intercept and storm suspicious ships, and combat Hostile boats, in addition to search and rescue and assistance at sea.
