Deputies of People’s National Assembly approved, yesterday, Thursday, by a majority, the government’s action plan in a public session chaired by Parliament Speaker Brahim Boughali, in the presence of Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Aïmene Benabderrahmane and members of the government.
318 deputies voted “yes” and 65 “no” out of the 380 deputies who attended the session.
This vote came after the Prime Minister’s response to the concerns of the parliament’s deputies during the discussion sessions that took place over three days and concluded on Thursday morning with the intervention of the heads of parliamentary groups.
As a reminder, the government’s action plan derives its five main axes from the program of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his 54 commitments, centered mainly on “strengthening the rule of law, renewing governance, modernizing justice and promoting freedoms, dialogue and consultation.”
Through its action plan, the government seeks to “strengthen the foundations of economic recovery, modernization of the banking and financial system, reform of the public commercial sector and the governance of public institutions,” not to mention “improving the attractiveness of the investment climate and upgrading the framework for the development of enterprises and entrepreneurship” while “promoting the integration of the parallel sector within legitimate channels.”
