Sonelgaz group, in partnership with Sonatrach, intends to launch a project to produce 500 megawatts of hybrid energy in the Great South, said Wednesday in Algiers, CEO and Managing Director of the complex, Chaher Boulakhras.
In a press statement on the sidelines of the Health, Safety and Environment Conference organized by Sonelgaz, Mr. Boulakharas said that a tender for this project will soon be launched, which will affect the southern provinces linked to the national network.
In the same context, the Director General referred to another project to produce 21 megawatts of hybrid energy to support electricity generation with isolated networks at the level of 25 stations.
Two days ago, the envelopes for this project were opened, Mr. Boulakhras added.
