Algeria finished its participation in the Mediterranean Games, Oran 2022, in fourth place with 53 medals, including 20 gold, 17 silver and 16 bronze.
This is the best outcome in the history of Algerian sport’s participation in the Mediterranean Games, breaking the record recorded in the 2001 Tunis Games.
The Italian delegation topped the general ranking (48 y, 50 ft, 61 b), followed by Turkey (45 y, 26 ft, 37 b), while France snatched third place from Algeria in the last two days, achieving 81 medals (21 y, 24 ft, 36). B).
In the Arab world, Algeria ranked first, followed by Egypt, which came in sixth place in the general ranking table, then Tunisia (10th), Syria (14th place) and Morocco (15th place).
