The launch of the National Volunteer Week was given today, Saturday in Algiers on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day, which falls on December 05 of each year, in order to “consolidate” the culture of volunteering and strengthen the spirit of citizenship among young people, as well as sensitize them to participate in all humanitarian aid.

In this context, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Tayabi Slimane, stressed, in a speech during his supervision of the launch of the activities of these volunteer days, which will last until December 10, on behalf of the Minister of the Sector, Abderrezak Sebkak, the “importance” of organizing this national week for volunteer work, which touches all the provinces of the country with the participation of all actors and civil society, in order to “introduce the importance of carrying out this humanitarian work in the neighborhood activity and to consolidate the spirit of citizenship.”

For his part, Director of Youth Exchanges and Tourism at the Ministry, Mohamed Hamid, considered that this volunteer week is an opportunity to “valuate the efforts made by volunteers throughout the year to help needy people and serve the country in the social and humanitarian fields.”

This volunteer work falls within the framework of “the implementation of the government’s action plan, which stipulates the need to give an important place to volunteer work with the participation of young people and all groups of society, especially civil society,” highlighting the importance of organizing this humanitarian work by “establishing a national charter and a law that defines volunteers work and rights and the tasks assigned to them in an organized framework.

On the other hand, the same speaker touched on the program organized to celebrate the International Volunteer Day at Bouchaoui Forest, noting that for this purpose a campaign will be organized to clean and plant more than 600 shrubs in this forest “to protect the environment and the natural surroundings”, in addition to “the inauguration of a mural immortalized for volunteer work and the establishment of a bicycle path, in addition to organizing a blood donation campaign, as well as holding tomorrow Sunday, a symposium on how to do volunteer work with the participation of all actors in this field.

For his part, the Director of Forests and Green Belt in the province of Algiers, Hocine Ali, confirmed that his directorate is participating in the National Volunteer Week in coordination with the youth sector and with the participation of civil society and the Algerian Islamic scouts, in order to “continue the large-scale forestation campaign that was launched at the national level last October and will last until March 31.”

Our publications, as you will notice, will always highlight positive performances and achievements in different fields, and also reflect our critics whenever we see problems affecting the lives of our fellow citizens, providing adequate solutions or calling for our elites to help solve them.

Our Mission

Our unique goal is to make this platform the first in Algeria to be devoted exclusively to positive information that sows hope among our youth and entice them to participate in the development of our country. The building of this new Algeria of which we dream and to which we aspire will be a collective work of all citizens jealous of the greatness of their nation and its influence. It will be the guarantor of the preservation of its independence and sovereignty and will honor the legacy and sacrifice of our valiant Chouhadas.
