Algerian mathematician Samir Badrouni, residing in Algeria, and Yassine Chitour, dual national (French-Algerian) residing in France, won the Maurice Audin Prize for Mathematics, announced by the association “Josette and Maurice Audin” on
its website.
The award was given to Badruni (28 years old), a lecturer at the Houari Boumediene University of Science and Technology (Algiers), for his work in the field of complex engineering, which will be received by a committee that will visit Algeria on May 28.
The award was also given to Chittoor, a professor at the Signals and Systems Laboratory at the University of Paris-Saclay at Central Sublac, for his work on the control of surveillance systems.
As a reminder, the Maurice Auden Prize for Mathematics is a scientific award organized every two years, open to all holders of a PhD in the field of mathematics, practicing both in France and Algeria, and who are under 45 years old.
