Mohamed Taher Yasser Triki won the gold medal in triple jump with a jump of 17 meters and 07 centimeters, today, Thursday, on the first day of the athletics competitions.
For his part, runner Bilal Tabeti won the gold medal in the 3000m steeplechase at the Mediterranean Games.
Tabetti occupied the first row with a time of 8 min 22 sec 79 c, ahead of Moroccan Mohamed Tendoft (8 min 23 sec 85 c). The other Algerian, Hicham Bouchicha, won the bronze medal, by entering the third place (8 c 23 sec 95 c).
Zouina Bouzbara had opened the Algerian harvest in athletics after she won the bronze medal in the hammer throw
competition, ranking third with a throw of 65.45 meters in the fourth attempt
