2023 World uneven bars silver medallist\u00a0Kaylia Nemour<\/strong>\u00a0of Algeria continued her winning ways Friday (19 April) at the Doha (Qatar) World Cup.<\/p>\n The 17-year-old posted a 15.366 in the uneven bars final to claim the gold by more than a point. The Philippines\u2019\u00a0Levi Ruivivar<\/strong>\u00a0was second at 13.633, followed by\u00a0Alena Tsitavets<\/strong>, a neutral athlete, at 13.600.<\/p>\n Panama\u2019s\u00a0Karla Navas<\/strong>\u00a0was the women\u2019s vault winner after recording a 13.850 average score. The Democratic People\u2019s Republic of Korea\u2019s\u00a0An Chang Ok<\/strong>\u00a0was right behind at 13.833, while Bulgarian\u00a0Valentina Georgieva<\/strong>\u00a0took bronze at 13.466.<\/p>\n In the men\u2019s competition, Kazakhstan\u2019s\u00a0Milad Karimi<\/strong>\u00a0won the opening final on the floor exercise with a 14.766, holding off Team GB\u2019s\u00a0Luke Whitehouse<\/strong>\u00a0(14.566). Karimi\u2019s compatriot\u00a0Dmitriy Patanin<\/strong>\u00a0rounded out the podium with a 14.500.<\/p>\n The men\u2019s pommel horse final was a battle of titans with three world medallists in the final.<\/p>\n Jordan\u2019s\u00a0Ahmad Abu Al Soud<\/strong>, the 2022 silver medallist and 2023 bronze medallist, put up a massive 15.500 for the win ahead of Chinese Taipei\u2019s\u00a0Lee Chih Kai<\/strong>\u2019s 15.400. Lee was the 2019 silver medallist and 2018 bronze medal winner. Two-time, defending world pommel horse champion\u00a0Rhys McClenaghan<\/strong>\u00a0of Ireland finished third, scoring 15.233.<\/p>\n The first day of finals competition wrapped up on the still rings where Armenia\u2019s\u00a0Vahagn Davtyan<\/strong>\u00a0held off Azerbaijan\u2019s\u00a0Nikita Simonov,<\/strong>\u00a014.833 to 14.800. France\u2019s\u00a0Samir Ait Said<\/strong>\u00a0finished with bronze with 14.633.<\/p>\n Competition in Doha concludes Saturday (20 April) with the men\u2019s vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar and women\u2019s balance beam and floor exercise.<\/p>\n
