Over the past decade, Algerian universities have made some notable progress in the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings. The University of Algiers 1, University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB), and University of Oran 1 Ahmed Ben Bella are among the top-performing institutions in Algeria.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the 2024 THE World University Rankings, the University of Algiers 1 and USTHB are both ranked within the 1201-1500 range globally. These rankings reflect their overall performance in various metrics including teaching, research, citations, international outlook, and industry income.<\/span><\/p>\n
