Algiers \u2014 The need to build a real national wealth-creating and social economy and to get out of the oil revenue-based economy were among the points developed Wednesday by the candidates, on the seventh day of the election campaign for the legislative elections of 12 June.<\/p>\n

The head of the Algerian National Front Moussa Touati affirmed in Oum El Bouaghi that his party will militate in favor of a “strong economy built by the Algerians themselves” in order to end the oil revenue-based economy.<\/p>\n

“The priority must be granted to the national economic recovery and to the support of the local economy, based on family small enterprises,” said Touati in a meeting in Ain Mlila.<\/p>\n

\n

In a meeting held in Jijel, the Secretary General of the National Democratic Rally (RND) Tayeb Zitouni stressed the need for the People’s National Assembly to “regain its role as legislator for the future of the country and not for that of the leaders.”<\/p>\n

“The future deputies will have several missions to undertake in order to end the country’s crises, through the legislation and suggestion of real economic programmes,” said Zitouni.<\/p>\n

In a local meeting in Ain Beida (Oum El Bouaghi), the head of Jil Jadid, Djilali Sofiance, stressed that the candidates of his political party “will represent the people’s will if they are elected and will work to “convey the people’s concerns to the government’s officials.<\/p>\n

“Jil Jadid’s deputies will continue to listen to the citizens’ concerns all year long through the opening of offices devoted to this purpose,” he promised<\/p>\n

Chairman of the New Algeria Front Djamel Benabdeslam said, in Tipaza, that there is no political solution outside of the Constitution to face the challenges and dangers threatening the country’s unity and security.<\/p>\n

Mahdi Lechkheb, candidate in the same list, considered that “the next elections have promising indicators to restore the citizens’ trust and will constitute an opportunity to choose the skilled deputies that represent all the social sections.”<\/p>\n

Candidate Ilhem Boumaaza called for the change, pointing out that the change she claims will be that “of the reality of the health sector in the province of Khenchela which is unable to respond to the patients’ expectations.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
