Chief of Staff of People\u2019s National Army Lieutenant General Said Chanegriha received Monday, at the headquarters of the general staff of the People\u2019s National Army, General Stephen J. Townsend, commander of the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM<\/em>), who is making a working visit to Algeria<\/em>, the Ministry of National Defense<\/em>\u00a0said in a statement.<\/em><\/p>\n

The same source pointed out that this visit \u201creflects the importance that AFRICOM leadership attaches to security issues in the region, especially with regard to stability and sustainable development.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Lieutenant General Chanegriha seized this opportunity to express his full gratitude for the medical aid that the US provided to the People\u2019s National Army, in special circumstances marked by the health crisis of Covid-19.<\/p>\n
