{"id":44292,"date":"2022-01-27T17:22:57","date_gmt":"2022-01-27T17:22:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jazairhope.org\/?p=44292"},"modified":"2022-01-27T17:22:57","modified_gmt":"2022-01-27T17:22:57","slug":"arab-summit-a-date-combining-historical-national-symbolism-arab-dimension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jazairhope.org\/en\/arab-summit-a-date-combining-historical-national-symbolism-arab-dimension\/","title":{"rendered":"Arab Summit: A date combining historical national symbolism, Arab dimension"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"itemIntroText col-xs-hidden \">\n<p>ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra affirmed Saturday that President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune intends to propose a date combining \u201cthe historical national symbolism and the Arab dimension for the holding of the Arab Summit in Algiers, said a ministerial statement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"itemFullText\">\n<p>Lamamra spoke in an audience granted, at the ministry\u2019s headquarters, to the ambassadors of Arab countries accredited in Algeria, in a consultation meeting coming within the framework of periodic meetings with the diplomatic corps.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><strong>\u201cContrary to the untruths spread under the title \u201cpostponement of the Summit\u201d while the date of its holding hasn\u2019t been set and no decision has been taken on it yet, and in accordance with the measures in force as part of the Arab system, President of the Republic intends to propose a date combining the historic national symbolism and the Arab dimension, a date that enshrines the values of the common struggle and Arab solidarity,\u201d underlined Lamamra. \u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThis date which should be adopted by the council of the Arab ministers during the ordinary session scheduled for next March, with the initiative of Algeria and support of the Arab League\u2019s General Secretariat, will also enable completing the preliminary process in form and substance, leading to political conclusions reinforcing the credibility and effectiveness of the joint Arab action,\u201d added the minister.<\/p>\n<p>In this regard, Lamamra underlined \u201cthe commitment of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune to continuing consultations and coordination with his brothers, leaders of Arab countries and officials of the Arab League Secretariat General, as part of the ongoing direct and periodic contacts with some of his Arab counterparts as well as those of its personal envoy.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><strong>\u201cThe expected goals from this process, initiated by Algeria according to a participatory approach, consists mainly in reaching consensus on the main issues that will be tackled in the next Arab Summit, including the setting of the right date for its holding,\u201d added the minister. \u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Lamamra\u2019s meeting with the diplomatic corps accredited in Algeria was an opportunity to \u201cinform the Arab ambassadors on the efforts made by Algeria for the strengthening of the joint Arab action in order to implement an Arab security system with all its dimensions,\u201d added the source.<\/p>\n<p>APS<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra affirmed Saturday that President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune intends to&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":50,"featured_media":44293,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[15,11],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-44292","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-algeria","category-politics"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
