Algeria\u2019s bold new agenda to reduce natural gas consumption and conserve oil and gas export revenues by turning to renewable energy will fuel game-changing government-to-government and private sector collaborations across the MENA region, according to Azzan Mohammed, the Exhibition Director of next month\u2019s Middle East Energy Dubai.<\/p>\n

Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and hosted by the UAE Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure, Middle East Energy Dubai, the most reputable and comprehensive energy event in the MENA region, takes place at Dubai World Trade Centre from 7 \u2013 9 March.<\/p>\n

The event is expected to attract over 18,000 energy professionals for a three-day conference featuring five key product sections: Smart Solutions, Renewable & Clean Energy, Critical & Backup Power, Transmission & Distribution, and Energy Consumption & Management.<\/p>\n

The return of the live and in-person Middle East Energy Dubai is timely for Algeria, which is pushing to reach 30% of power generation from renewables by 2030 and to generate 25GW power from green and blue hydrogen by 2050 \u2013 a turning point for a country whose oil & gas export success provides more than 90% of its foreign revenues and 60% of its national budget.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cThe beginning of Algeria\u2019s great renewables shift came in three thrusts: with regulatory reform, creation of the new energy transition ministry METRE, and the new renewable energy company SHAEMS. These developments have laid the foundations for rich collaborations at both national and private sector levels for Algeria\u2019s energy leaders and entrepreneurs in terms of sustainable policies and technologies to deploy across its abundant renewable energy resources,\u201d said Mohammed.<\/p>\n

With Algeria\u2019s utility leader Sonelgaz set to attend the show as a VIP buyer, evidencing the country\u2019s renewed commitment to building a renewable energy ecosystem, the comprehensive product portfolio and knowledge-sharing platforms at Middle East Energy Dubai will open important perspectives on conservation strategies and the development of hydrogen sectors.<\/p>\n

And with the event also hosting industry-shaping technical sessions at the Global Energy & Utilities Forum and InterSolar Middle East Conference, the coming together of global expertise will offer new insights for innovators in small and medium enterprises who are now finding opportunities in Algeria\u2019s evolving energy sector.<\/p>\n
