The \u2018Declaration of Niamey\u2019 agreement was signed during the third edition of the Economic Communities of West African States (ECOWAS) Mining and Petroleum Forum (ECOMOF) in Niamey on 16 February this year. The trans Saharan gas pipeline will start in the Warri region in Nigeria and run north through Niger to Hassi R&#8217;Mel in Algeria. In Hassi R&#8217;Mel the pipeline will connect to the existing Trans-Mediterranean, Maghreb Europe, Medgaz, and Galsi pipelines.
