The start-up “Ready for invest- Green AL” from Tamanrasset has won the first prize of the national challenge “The Algeria-Climate-Change-Challenge A3C” of innovative projects of young entrepreneurs dedicated this year to the axes relating to innovation in green energy, the improvement of energy consumption and biodiversity and waste recycling, it was learned on Saturday in Bechar from the local representative of the Tek 2 hub-Brenco incubator.<\/p>\n
“Ready for invest-Green AL” won the first prize of this challenge for its innovative Biogas production solution based on kits from household waste, Roua Adel told APS.<\/p>\n
The start-ups “Best Tech My Umbrella” and Best Pitch: S-ARGY”, based in Batna and Algiers, won the second and third place respectively for their innovation in rainwater collection through an umbrella system for their possible use in several fields including agricultural irrigation, and a solution that mechanically generates clean energy to charge any type of batteries easily, she detailed.<\/p>\n
The start-up “Transtar”, based in Gharda\u00efa, for its part, won the jury prize of this challenge for its innovative solution, namely a computer application for connecting carriers and companies wishing to send goods.<\/p>\n
This national challenge, which took place on Thursday and Friday in Taghit, in the wilaya of Bechar, was marked by the participation, in its competition phase, of 300 innovative projects of young entrepreneurs from different regions of the country, of which 16 projects were selected for the semi-finals and eight others qualified for the final, added Ms. Roua Adel.<\/p>\n
This challenge placed under the high patronage of the delegated ministry in charge of the Knowledge Economy and Start-ups, and the Ministry of the Environment, as well as the Cr\u00e9dit populaire d’Alg\u00e9rie (CPA), sets itself the objective of contributing to the resolution of problems induced by climate change, in order to detect talents and change actors.<\/p>\n
It revolves around four axes, namely green energy, improving energy consumption, biodiversity and recycling, she added.<\/p>\n
The TEK2 Hub Brenco incubator, the main organizer of this national challenge, was founded by Karim Brouri, whose headquarters are in Algiers, with representations in Sidi Bel-Abb\u00e8s and Bechar.<\/p>\n
It offers incubation and support programs dedicated to young project leaders in Algeria and especially in the Algerian south.<\/p>\n
Among these programs, the organization, annually, of national challenges, namely “Algeria climate change challenge A3C” dedicated to the theme of climate change, the “Savefood challenge” which concerns food security and the “B-Tech boost bootcamp” dedicated to innovations in technologies.<\/p>\n
