Petrofac has deployed over 1,000 workers on the site who are carrying out the construction of the new inlet separation and compression facilities. The project\u2019s civil and structural works are in advanced stages, with the focus now being on the installation of mechanical equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0In 2018, Petrofac was awarded the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract with the country\u2019s energy giant National Petroleum Corporation of Algeria (Sonatrach) for EPC1 \u2014 which includes a new inlet separation and compression centre \u2014 of the Tinrhert Field Development Project.<\/p>\n

The overall scope of work includes a pipeline network of approximately 400km to connect 36 wells, along with commissioning, start-up, and performance testing of facilities.<\/p>\n

Petrofac has a significant track record in Algeria where the contractor has been working to support the country\u2019s oil and gas production for more than two decades.<\/p>\n

The company has been associated with Sonatrach for various EPC and engineering services contracts including for the Alrar and Reggane projects that are operational.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
