In its latest report, the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) confirmed that Algeria is among the countries with “high reliability” in providing gas supplies to its customers.<\/p>\n

And according to what was reported by the \u201cAl-Shaab\u201d public daily, this came in an \u201cOAPEC\u201d report on \u201cdevelopments of liquefied natural gas and hydrogen in the first quarter of 2022.\u201d
\nThe report indicated that \u201cAlgerian exports remained within their usual quarterly range. It ranges between 2.5 million tons and 3 million tons.\u201d<\/p>\n

The report also mentioned the new agreement concluded by Sonatrach with the Italian Eni. To increase Algerian gas exports through the Enrico Mattei pipeline, which connects Algeria with Italy via Tunisia.<\/p>\n

An Italian report recommends relying on Algeria to free itself from Russian gas<\/em><\/strong>
\nOn April 28, 2022, a committee in the Italian Parliament recommended relying on gas exports from Algeria and other countries, to reduce dependence on Russia. After the strained relationship between Moscow and the European Union.<\/p>\n

According to the Italian website Decode39<\/a>, the latest report of the Parliamentary Committee for the Security of Italy on the country’s energy security warned that giving up Russian gas may not be possible in the short term.<\/p>\n

The report explained how Italy would have to replace the huge amount of gas currently imported from Moscow, estimated at 30 billion cubic meters each year.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the committee praised the work of the Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi’s government to sign agreements with several countries to find alternative sources of gas.<\/p>\n

The report mentioned Algeria, Egypt, Congo, Mozambique, Angola and Nigeria. And in Asia as well, Azerbaijan, and Qatar.
\nAlgeria and Saudi Arabia are the most discoverers of oil and gas in 2022<\/p>\n
