The name is derived from Arabic, which is used locally to refer to ancient monumental ruins. These pre-Islamic tombs date from Late Antiquity between the 4th-7th centuries.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.africanews.com\/2019\/01\/17\/the-pyramids-of-algeria-the-morning-call\/?jwsource=cl\">VIDEO<\/a><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dating back centuries, Algeria&#8217;s pyramid tombs are unique relics of an ancient era but a dearth of research has left the Jeddars shrouded in mystery.
